Shaking Table Tests for Seismic Response of Oblique Overlapped Tunnel

To study the dynamic response and spectrum characteristics of three-dimensional crossing tunnel under action seismic load, we established a 1/50 downscale model based on typical oblique overlapped conducted series shaking table tests. Through examining recorded responses (acceleration strain measured at different locations in tunnels), found that crown was largest central section, invert tunnels exactly opposite to crown, which presented “parabolic” distribution, inferred damage within may be mainly concentrated tunnels. Additionally, showed obvious nonlinear nonstationary degrees intensities. Different from single tunnel, acceleration superposition effect appears cross section two because spatial overlapping tunnels, resulting section. Meanwhile, also 1st dominant frequency (0.1–6.26 Hz) wave played leading role process slope failure. Furthermore, analysis surrounding rock mass has an amplification low-frequency waves. These results help us better understand features provide evidence reinforce against earthquakes.
